A point that I'm starting to realise concerning Skype and all things internet connected, is it is all well and good as long as you can find hotspots. This can involve a long and tortuous process of scanning, walking, attempting to join and scanning some more. So, imagine my glee when I discovered the following software that will make life a little easier.
For the pocket PC there is Hitchhiker -
http://www.kasuei.com/hitchhiker/ - which is freeware, and can sniff, and manage hotspots. While for Palm OS, there is WiFi-Where, which is shareware and will cost you US$10.
I'll be trialling these two peices of software over the next few days. However, it looks like they over great potential in finding and managing hotspots for those must make skype calls, or collecting & sending emails.
